Privacy notice

We collect as little as possible, and never sell what we hold.

Net Intellect is a Worcester-based UniFi network specialist. This page sets out what personal data we hold, why, where it lives, and your rights under UK GDPR. Last updated 18 May 2026.

Who we are

Net Intellect is a Worcester-based business WiFi and Ubiquiti UniFi network specialist. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Net Intellect is the data controller for the personal information you give us directly, and Savell is your point of contact. Contact: info@netintellect.co.uk · 07432 214653. Net Intellect is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC151734.

What we collect, and why

Enquiry-form submissions. When you fill in the contact form on /contact/ we receive your name, business name (optional), email, phone (optional), site address or postcode, and a free-text brief. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and arrange a site survey. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry); explicit consent is captured via the required tickbox on the form.

Google Ads click identifier. If you reach the site by clicking one of our Google Ads, Google adds a click identifier (a “gclid”) to the web address. We read it straight from the address and, if you go on to submit the enquiry form, include it with your message so we can measure which ads lead to genuine enquiries; we may share that single identifier with Google solely for this conversion-measurement purpose. We do not store it on your device, set any advertising cookie, build a profile of you, or use it to retarget you with ads. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (measuring the effectiveness of our own advertising). If you would rather it wasn't included, delete the ?gclid=… part of the address before submitting.

Anti-bot challenge. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam. Turnstile may receive your IP address, browser characteristics and a short interaction signal to verify you are not a bot. It does not set cookies in normal "managed" mode and does not track you across sites. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (preventing automated abuse).

Email and phone contact. If you email or call us directly we keep the conversation thread and any attached documents (floor plans, photos, etc.) for the duration of any work plus six years for tax-record purposes.

Site-survey notes and proposals. Where we proceed to a survey we produce written notes and a proposal. These contain the site address and may contain photos of the building. Stored on our self-hosted Nextcloud and on the laptop used for the survey. Retained six years after the project closes.

Aggregate page-view analytics. We run Cloudflare Web Analytics on the site. This is a cookieless tool that counts visits to each page and gives us approximate country-of-visitor breakdowns. It does not set cookies, does not use localStorage, does not fingerprint, and cannot link your visits across sites. We cannot tell who you are or follow you between sessions. Your IP address briefly hits Cloudflare's edge to be counted, is anonymised, then discarded. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (knowing which content is read). Full breakdown on our cookies page.

Server logs. Our website hosting (Cloudflare) records the standard request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and abuse-detection purposes. These rotate within 7 days and are not joined to any other data we hold.

Business-to-business outreach

Net Intellect markets its services to other businesses. As part of this we send a small number of introductory emails to newly-formed companies that may need network or WiFi help. Where we do this:

  • Where the details come from. We obtain business contact details (a company name, a business email address, and sometimes a director's name) from the Companies House public register and other publicly-available business sources. We do not buy marketing lists.
  • Lawful basis. Legitimate interest: introducing a relevant local service to a newly-formed business. As this is business-to-business contact with corporate subscribers, it is also permitted under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). We do not send this outreach to sole traders or to personal email addresses.
  • Your control. Every outreach email clearly identifies Net Intellect and carries a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribe once and you are removed permanently, honoured immediately, with no further contact. You can also email info@netintellect.co.uk at any time to object, or to ask us to delete your details.

This outreach is entirely separate from the contact form: details you submit through /contact/ are never added to an outreach list.

What we do not do

  • No advertising or behavioural tracking. Aside from the Google Ads conversion measurement described above (which sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device and builds no profile of you), we run no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no retargeting pixels, and no behavioural advertising cookies of any kind. The only third-party scripts the site loads are Cloudflare's cookieless Web Analytics beacon and Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form (both explained above).
  • No marketing cookies. The website does not set non-essential cookies, so no consent banner is required.
  • No data sales. We never sell, share or rent personal data to anyone.
  • No automated decision-making. Quotes are written by a human network specialist who has visited your site.

Captive portals and guest WiFi we install for clients

Where we design and install a branded guest-WiFi captive portal for one of our clients, that client is the data controller for the email opt-ins captured by the portal, not us. We are the data processor on their behalf. Each portal we install is configured to be GDPR-compliant by default: an unticked opt-in box, a clear privacy notice link to the client's own privacy page, and a "continue without signing up" link that never blocks WiFi access.

If you signed up to a guest WiFi list at a venue we installed and want your data removed, contact the venue directly; they hold and control the list. (Depending on the client, the opt-ins typically sync to their own Brevo, Mailchimp or similar mailing platform.)

Where your data lives

Contact-form submissions are delivered via Resend (an EU-based transactional email provider) into our info@netintellect.co.uk mailbox, which is hosted by Spacemail (Spaceship's UK-served business email). Day-to-day email correspondence after that point lives in the same Spacemail mailbox. Anti-bot verification is handled by Cloudflare Turnstile. Aggregate page-view counts are processed by Cloudflare Web Analytics (no personal identifiers, no cookies). Site-survey notes and proposals are stored on our self-hosted Nextcloud running on UK soil at our Worcester base. Backups are encrypted and held on a separate UK-located disk. Web hosting is on Cloudflare's global edge network (static page content, no personal data, served from the nearest geographic point of presence).

The business outreach described above, and any newsletter you actively subscribe to, are run through Mautic (our self-hosted marketing-automation platform) with Brevo as the email-delivery provider. Before first contact, outreach email addresses may be located via Hunter.io and are checked for validity by ZeroBounce; those providers process only the email address (and, for Hunter.io, a business name) for that single purpose. Every Mautic email, outreach or newsletter, carries a one-click unsubscribe.

The third parties named above are our sub-processors and data sources. Other than sharing the Google Ads click identifier described above for conversion measurement, we do not use any third-party CRM, behavioural-advertising network, or cross-site tracking service.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access a copy of any personal data we hold about you; correct anything that's wrong; ask us to delete it (subject to our legal record-keeping obligations); restrict or object to certain processing; and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data badly.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@netintellect.co.uk. We aim to reply within five working days and complete any request within one calendar month.
