Built to be usable. By everyone.
This statement covers how the Net Intellect website meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, what works well, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us about anything that gets in your way.
Our commitment
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We test it against keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, contrast ratios and prefers-reduced-motion. If you find anything that gets in your way, please tell us.
What works well
- Keyboard navigation. The whole site is reachable with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter and arrow keys. A "Skip to content" link appears as soon as you start tabbing so you can bypass the navigation.
- Screen readers. All interactive elements have meaningful labels. Decorative graphics are marked
aria-hidden. Headings follow a sensible H1 → H2 → H3 hierarchy. Landmark regions (nav, main, footer) are correctly tagged. - Reduced motion. If you have Reduce motion set in your operating system preferences, the site respects it: the slow drifting hero background, the dashboard tilt and the magnetic button effects all switch off automatically.
- Touch targets. Every clickable element on mobile is at least 44×44 pixels.
- Colour contrast. Body text against background exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required by WCAG AA. Eyebrow / muted text exceeds the 3:1 ratio for large text.
- Forms. Every form input on the contact page has a properly associated label, autocomplete hint, and clear focus state. No CAPTCHA puzzles.
- Images. Every meaningful image has descriptive alternative text. Decorative images carry empty alt or are marked decorative.
- Zoom. The site reflows cleanly at 200% browser zoom and at 400% on a 1280px viewport without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
- The hero dashboard mockup and the project tracker visual are decorative illustrations of UniFi's controller interface. They're marked
aria-hiddenso screen readers skip them; the same information is summarised in the surrounding prose. - The captive-portal mockup embedded on /work/ is loaded in an iframe and is itself a styled visual. The case-study text describes everything the mockup shows.
- We have not yet had a third-party accessibility audit. We'll update this statement when we do.
Reporting an accessibility problem
If something on this website is hard to use, broken, or just frustrating, please email info@netintellect.co.uk with a short description (and a screenshot if you can). We aim to acknowledge within one working day and fix anything material within two weeks.
You can also use the contact options on the contact page. The phone line is a Worcester-based human, not a queue.
Compliance status
We believe this website partially complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. The "partially" reflects the unaudited status: we're aware of no specific failures, but until an external audit confirms it we won't claim full compliance.
