How is this worked out?
Monthly opt-ins = customers/day × days/week × 4.33 weeks × opt-in rate. The list grows from zero over the year, so an average campaign reaches about half the year-end total; annual return visits = (emails/month × 12) × half the list × 1.06% email click rate × 1 in 4 clicks becoming a visit. Revenue = those visits × average spend. Deliberately conservative.
Sources & defaults: average spend defaults to £8 (a typical café order); the UK eating-out average is £18.35 (Lumina Intelligence, Q1 2026) if you serve full meals.
